We've Moved House

As they say in England, we have moved house. No longer do we live next door to Canvas in a tiny little flat! The owners of our old building put it on the market and asked us to move out by June 30th. After lots of time searching, we settled on a place just up the road from Canvas, approximately 0.88 miles up the road. :) We don't live in "studentville" anymore, as it is affectionately called by the locals. We live across from a park and primary school in a great location. Just across the park from fellow teammates Natalie and Robert Braden. We had some friends with vehicles help us move all of our stuff and now we are settling into the new place. We absolutely love it!

Charity Shop Charity Prom

To kick off summer term at Canvas, our Spring exchange students planned and executed the first ever Canvas prom on May 2nd. The theme of the prom was "Charity Shop Charity Prom," meaning dress code for prom was something you picked up from the local charity shop and the proceeds of the night went to the Canvas trip to Mexico. Prom was held at a community center/church in Bournville called Rowheath Pavillion. The venue was perfect and there was even a disco ball! As you can imagine, the outfits ranged from normal to completely ridiculous. (Mike's outfit was picked out by an exchange student, Scott, and was one of the more ridiculous outfits to be seen.) It was a night full of fun, dancing, and laughter! Here are few photos:
